Brunswick Stew Sale!

Piedmont Rescue Mission will be having a Brunswick Stew Sale on Saturday, February 21st. We will be selling the stew for the low price of $4.50 a quart. The sale will take place at our Rescue Mission located at : 1519 N. Mebane St., Burlington, NC 27217. Extra donations will be appreciated!

Come on by on Saturday and support the mission by buying some stew!

2008 Community Christmas Meal

Thanks to everyone who helped!

We had a great 2008 Community Christmas Meal. We provided food for about 150 people and were also able to privide treat bags filled with candy, fruit, and a New Testament Bible.
Thanks to your generous donations, we were also able to provide new toys to all of the children who attended the meal.
We want to thank all of our volunteers. We couldn't have done it without you! If you prepared or served food, greeted people, or prayed with people during the chapel service, we want to thank you. You made a difference in these people's lives.

Catalog will be up soon

Our Christmas catalog mentioned in our newsletter was given out at our banquet this year. If you did not receive one, you can check back here and we will have an uploaded one you can view, or call us and we will send you a printed one. It has items in it that the ministries of Piedmont Rescue Mission are in need of. We had some trouble with uploading the PDF file, but it should be up by this week. 2008 Community Thanksgiving Meal

Our 2008 Community Thanksgiving Meal was a success. The ministries of Piedmont Rescue Mission were able to feed over 100 people that had no place to go or were homeless. Thanks so much to all of our volunteers that helped to serve food, drink, and desserts, or if you greeted and talked with people. We could not have done it without you!

We would also like to thank Georgio Harvalias of Di'Georgios Catering for donating all of our Thanksgiving meal food! His information is listed in the previous post.

Also a big thanks to Loaves & Fishes Food ministry and Allied Churches for donating their leftover food to our mission.

God bless all of you who enabled us to reach the community with the gospel and a hot meal.

Greater Vision Banquet 2008 - "Catch the Vision"

Our Greater Vision Banquet went great! We had a good turnout, and we praise the Lord for all the donations and pledges made. We want to thank our table sponsors who made the meal possible. They are listed in this month's newsletter.

Greater Vision Banquet Update

Invitations have been mailed to our mailing list for our 2008 Greater Vision Banquet. We ask that you reply with the enclosed RSVP card and include the number of people in your party. Please do this ASAP.
WE ONLY HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF SEATING SPACE AND IT WILL FILL UP QUICKLY.
If you are sponsoring a table, please notify on the sponsor card if you are coming to the banquet so we can make sure you have seating.
We are still in need of table sponsors. The cost is $250 and your name, group's name, or busniness name will be listed on the table and in our next newsletter. If you can only sponsor a portion of a table, we will combine your gift with other sponsors for that table who have also given a portion of the $250.

Pray for us that God will be glorified in all that we do as a ministry.

Greater VisionBanquet 2008!

We are excited about our upcoming Greater Vision Banquet. This is an annual banquet we do as a fundraiser for the ministry of Piedmont Rescue Mission. We provide a meal and a brief overview of how you can help the various ministries. Our keynote speaker this year is Rev. Neal Wilcox, founder and director emeritus of the Winston Salem Rescue Mission. Rev. Wilcox was Executive Director of the Winston Salem Rescue Mission for approximatley 33 years.

Every year, in order to provide the meal at no cost to our invited guests, we ask local businesses and individuals to sponsor a table which will pay for the meals at that table. The cost to sponsor a table of 10 will be $250. As a result, your name or your business name will be listed at the table, on our program and presentation and you will be listed in our PRM newsletter which goes out to about 2700 people. Please consider helping us as we try to spread the word about the work we are doing here in Burlington, and in Siler City, and even in East Africa.
